Foreclosures in Alberta are heard in the Court of King's Bench. A lender cannot sell your home without going through the court, and for High River that means Calgary Courts Centre, 601 5 St SW.
Title work runs separately, through Land Titles South. Land Titles has been slow since the counters closed to walk-ins in September 2025, with registrations reported taking around a hundred days, so build that into any plan with a deadline in it.
A little about High River
A foothills town on the Highwood River at the junction of Highways 2 and 23, south of Calgary — the filming town for Heartland, and Joe Clark's birthplace. The population is about 14,324.
High River knows what a hard year looks like. In 2013 nearly the entire town was evacuated by flooding. The community rebuilt, and there is no shame in needing help through a difficult stretch.

What actually happens
Less than people fear. Much of a foreclosure is documents rather than hearings, and an undefended claim moves through its stages without anyone standing up in a courtroom. That is also the risk — the process advances whether or not you engage, so engaging is how you keep a say in it.
